Carl vil gøre alt for at redde Assads karriere - og for at få de skyldige ned med nakken. Det bliver startskuddet på en følelsesmæssig opdagelsesrejse for Carl, og endnu et led i det opgør han har med sig selv. For når der er så meget galt med ham, hvordan kan han i det hele taget gøre sig fortjent til Assad?

longest thing I ever wrote, and it is, finally, finished!!! I have been working on this for OVER A YEAR. I got the idea back in October 2023 but I was working on a different fic at the time, and then there was Yuletide, so I didn't start writing until January 2024. I did start posting chapters on AO3 on April 20th 2024 and I was determined to finish this fic before or on that date - and well, today is April 20th 2025, and I put the final touches on the last two chapters and did several rounds of edits, and now the chapters are up and posted and I am DONE. FINISHED.

The other day I put in my pledge to write 200k next year. I've been doing gywo since 2012, always the 150k pledge, and have actually yet to make it... I came closest in 2012, with 130k words, and this year (at 90k) is the most I've written in a year since then. I wanted a bigger push and a daily writing goal that was about 500 words or more, and given how many things I'm writing atm (a novel and a bunch of novellas), 200k seems like the right challenge to push me to get it all done. So here's to 2017! *raises metaphorical glass*

Why you should read this: This was kind of hauntingly beautiful? I remember I stayed up to finish it and then because I couldn't find words to comment on it just then, left it till morning and then made a halfassed job of it. It's really, really lovely, in a melancholic and almost poetic way. I loved how draco's alcoholism was portrayed (very subtle), and how he and Harry came together in an imperfect way. Very good read. Not really fluffy, but it's not a terribly angsty fic either, in my opinion.

Why you should read this: Curse fic! I love cursefics tbh, and while accidental bonding isn't my thing, I thought this was really great, and well done too. Surprise!godric/salazar, though I'm not going to spoil how that comes into play. It was brilliant. I also really loved the magic in this fic, and Harry as a cartographer. It's oddly fitting. (Also I'll never tire of Cursebreaker!draco.)
