i thought rectober was going to be harder than it is (so far). i guess i do read more stuff than i realised, but i've also decided that i'm going to use it as an incentive to get through a lot of old bookmarked fic (as well as read some of the stuff that's currently being posted in lots of fests...)

Why you want to read this: THIS IS PERFECT oh my god i will never get over this fic, ever. EVER. I think even if you aren't in this fandom but appreciate good femslash, you'll want to read this. I read this late last night because I thought it'd be a quick read, but then I spent almost double the time reading it because I was just...savouring everything. appreciating the flow of the words, the characters, all the details, everything. after i'd finished, my heart was hollow but happy...i just. I really can't put into words what this fic did to me. these ladies are awesome already in the canon, but this expansion here? feels like taken straight out of canon. it's beautifully written and i just have to squee because this is the greatest thing ever to come out of this fandom, it's beautiful and perfect and i'll never, ever, get over it.

Why you want to read this: ok so everyone and their mother, their neighbour, and their cat has already recced this a million times, so i'll make it short. i'm slow and i've been reading this over the past 3-4 days or so, but it's been a great. i love the slow build up of their relationship, stanley the pet beetle of course stole my heart (though i have to agree with harry there and say that it was really draco's love for stanley that made me fall in love). it's a gorgeous read, perfect for a lazy/rainy/cold day. warm and sweet and, as usual with this writer, you get wonderfully fleshed out side characters.
