I just discovered this artist on tumblr that does some really amazing things with light and shadow and colours. Especially the inktober pieces are haunting and beautiful, and I had to restrain myself from linking all of them. (There's a couple of nsfw steve/bucky arts on dorkbait's page - I didn't link them here, but just a heads up if you decide to browse.)

In other news, I signed up for rs_small_gifts, against my better judgment...seeing as i'm modding rs_collab, and I've prep work to do. OH WELL. Sign-ups for small gifts are still open until tomorrow (and claiming opens tomorrow!), so head on over and sign up? It's a low-key (and not anonymous!) holiday themed exchange fest for Remus/Sirius, which is usually absolutely wonderful. Sign-up numbers are looking a little low, so consider joining us?

i had that same problem! so i mostly just pulled stuff out of my arse. AND THEN I REMEMBERED I HAVE THIS BOOK CALLED 'MEDIEVAL LOVERS - BOOK OF DAYS' WHICH IS FULL OF MEDIEVAL LOVE POETRY and i knew there was a lewd one in there, so i changed like half of the stupid prompts i'd come up with. XD

I just saw yours- I have been good and finally filled out mine too.
I really love going through people's likes and dislikes, finding that people have the same taste is always an excellent thing!
I'm all excited now! I always miss the claiming because of stupid time zones though-

going through people's likes and dislikes is what helped form mine, tbh. i'm always a bit "what don't i like? what do i like? i don't know!!" and then i see what the others put and i'm like "yeah me too buddy *writes down*" XD

isn't it possible to claim by proxy? i think the mods do that? i'm not sure i'll be home tomorrow so i'm considering asking the mods to claim for me.

Yeah- I was truly terrible with my Erised sign up- I think I nicked EVERYTHING from other people's requests. It's a case of other people's ideas always being better than your own, I think haha

I should probably do that, really. I just like claiming them myself too much- p. sure it happens at lunch time or really early morning or something, for me? I dunno.
I'm kinda happy to take whatever, tbh, I think art lets you be a bit more flexible. I don't necessarily have to write a whole story around the thing.

hooo man, i forgot what i put in my erised sign up so i went to look, and. i'm so sorry. i'm so sorry to whoever was assigned me.

1. harry and draco fighting over the last kitten at the shelter and ending up with shared ownership
2. On again off again friends with benefits (or similar) in a my best friends wedding type of situation
3. Draco is the sun and harry the black hole AU

i think claims are like 4pm for me? it's 11am US eastern, which is usually in the afternoon for me. i reckon for you that means evening sometime? timezones are hardddd. (and tonight our clocks go back so i'll be extra confused all day. i'll be refreshing my flist every hour to make sure i'm not missing it.)

but yeah, you're right, art is so much more flexible in some cases :D i did art for erised and it was so? free? i mean, my giftee's prompts were very fic (and nsfw) orientated, which i wasn't going to be able to do with art, so i went with a different interpretation and it ended up really good. :)

Pleased to hear your entry went smoothly! Mine is still all over the place, in my usual fashion. I am always a terrible procrastinator, but this year I've really taken it to new heights. it is. XD i actually talked to D about it (we were discussing my erised entry) and basically we agreed that it's actually a very accurate representation of harry and draco, because draco is very bright in so many aspects, whereas harry can be incredibly destructive and dark. XD

ugh, that IS late D: haha does that mean we are closer in time right now??

it took so many hours and so much pain and frustration to make, but it came out good. :D and i even submitted it early xD my games entry hasn't been posted yet (am i allowed to say that? i just. i have been checking every day to see if THIS IS THE DAY and it is not that day. yet. v.v i saw yours was posted! i just haven't had the time to check it out yet. i'm racing to finish my nextgenfest fic, which i have to hand in on monday, so i've forbidden myself to look at games stuff until after i've sent it off...)

oh, that's right. unless maybe you go the other way around the earth? idk. time is odd. summer :D we didn't have much of one, so i'm hoping we'll get a good cold and snowy winter. :D

i have submitted stuff early in the past, but this is the year of extensions apparently. :( i had an extension for my smoochfest fic and now nextgenfest. i only just got my games entry in on time. erised is the only thing that came in early. <.< but yes. i can do this! *soldiers on* i'll do enough for all the Agents. XD (although dude seriously, 78 pages of comic - there's no way i can beat that.)

(and seriously, don't ever go there if you are planning on continuing to function as a normal human being. I was drawing it six hours a day, it was terrible)Just focus on all the next-gen wonderfulness instead! :D

When you intitiate into palo mahyombe,and sometimes santeria,depending upon who your teacher is,the first thing they make you do is read ALL the works of Allan Kardec.
Kardec was a French philosopher who spoke to spirits ,and wrote it all down and put it into books.
Book of mediums ,and book of spiritism,are the 2 you must know cold.
Kardec was in contact with one main spirit,Zifiro ,who was of a high order.
And he explained "the other side",and all its workings to Kardec,and he immortalized it by writing it down.Kardec gave Zefiro this name,and saw him as male,but spirits can change form . Many lie.
On the other side,we are merely spirits of different levels of enlightenment. Zefiro told him,we have no need for names,and you all call us by different ones anyway .
This is how the causal connection between similar spirits ,in different pantheons ,can be explained.
Ganesha=Ellegua=Mercury
Oya=Kali=Lilith=Morrigan=Hecate=Centella Ndoki=Saint Theresa
Zeus=Obatala=Dambala=Zarabanda
These are just exaples,but there are dozens.
All religions see them from ,shall we say, a different angle,but its still the same spirit,but we all give them different names.
There is but one God,God dictates to his "helpers,"who are what you might call saints ,or the "gods" indicated in my examples.. They too ,have helper spirits under them and so forth.
We are all in a pecking order.
We are required to reincarnate to grow and learn and become more enlightened with each incarnation .
Lower case spirits,spirits off evil,do not go forward.In spirit form they can be called demons.
People like mass murders and sadists ,tend to have demon spirits.Some of them are older than others.So some are more powerful than others,both evil and good.This is where we get myth about demons like great byzantine and summarian devils,the spirits of the goetia.etc etc .Ones that possess and torment the living. The are the flip side of the saint coin.
Things are preordained karma/fate wise ,but there can be accidents and free will .
So fate can change,despite what is written in the akashik records .
So we much learn this in order to prepare ourselves to see and speak to them.
We must know the nature and hierarchy of spirits,and how guardianship works .
Guardians are our overseers.Some we have for life,but others come in and out of our lives when we need them,and move on.
Most of us have at least 2.I know do,and one appears as a Viking in full regalia,hat with horns and all ,and one is a small pygmy african boy .Some of this depends upon your spirit lineage ,none of which has to do with wether or not were were born chinese or hispanic.
In rare cases ,family can be guardians,but usually only in the case of a parent dying before a young child ,they can be allowed to be guardian,but its rare.
As family are spirits we tend to be reincarnated with each life time. We are kindred souls,so we find one another each time.Its why sometimes you meet someone and say ,"i feel as if i have known you forever".In some cases,,you have.
Once we undertsand guardianship,we must then learn the prayers and how to to speak to them .
Its a very long learning process,and to say our guardians would abuse us this way,is a sin in any pantheon.
It does not happen.If it does ,its a lowercase faking who they are,psychically abusing and maybe even possessing their victim.
And all of this correlates to Buddhist and Taosit belief,being 2 of the oldest religions on the planet .
AMMAs teachings also mirror Kardecs,and she is not a follower of Kardec at all. But i am a follower of AMMA.
