Why you want to read this: ok so i went looking for danny/luke fic on ao3 and found 14. 12 of which i had no interest in, one of which it turned out i'd already read, and then this. and i really, really, like it, so i guess i was lucky. it's very sweet. i would've liked it if the fic had actually taken danny/luke/jessica to the next level, but ah well. luke is great. i love danny in this. it's perhaps a little darker than i expected? but it's still good. feels content.

Why you want to read this: sex pollen fic! except not really? i mean. it's not the kind of fic where the sex pollen causes our couple to get it on and realise their big gay love for each other. instead it features them being the only two people immune to it and saving the city. it's a lot of fun and it's sweet. i enjoyed it lots.

Why you want to read this: OH MAN THIS FIC. it's been a few days BUT I AM STILL THINKING ABOUT IT. i love it a lot, okay? this is a "suddenly i have a kid!fic" but from the kid's POV. it's so refreshing and so sweet and so heartfelt and warm and also kind of tragic, that i just. want to snuggle everyone. i love so many things about it. i love how you only get to see bucky's action and not the inside of his head, because actions often speak louder than words? and he clearly cares for this kid. a lot. and he's learning. and stefan is just so adorable and smart and easygoing and he's three years old going on four and he loves his papa. so. much. the fic deals a little with amnesia, in that you can tell through stefan's narrative that bucky doesn't always remember everything (but he remembers the important things, according to stefan), and brainwashing, and there are some wonderful paralells there. there are a few heartbreaking things as well, in how stefan starts losing his memories of his mother, how he stops talking about sasha the cat but thinks maybe they had a dog. i just. read this. you won't regret it. it's so sweet.

BUT I JUST LOVE HOW THEY HAVE TO HAVE SEX IN CASE THE BAD GUY THEY'RE WATCHING MIGHT BE WATCHING THEM AND THEY NEED TO KEEP UP THEIR COVER. jesus talk about bad excuses for fucking. it's funny though, and it's got just the right amount of pining and happy endings and everything.

Why you want to read this: this is a character study of Susan. I stumbled upon it a long time ago, possibly via tumblr - i don't know. I'm not even into this fandom (i've seen the two first movies and read the two first books), but. anyway. Susan! This is really great and also all sorts of heartbreaking, but Susan! is a bamf. I love her a lot in this.

Why you want to see this: Supernatural/Marvel crossover, in that Loki meets Gabriel after letting go of the staff. The art is stunning. just plain stunning. and though there aren't a lot of words, it still manages to break your heart a little, because you know the stories behind those two characters, so you get them. and you get why maybe this meeting is the right meeting, for the right reasons.

:D lanyon is an old friend of mine from LotR/King Arthur fandom, although we're no longer actually in touch (and I haven't quite managed to contact her, especially in the light of my current...situation with AO3 XD ) - she's always been a fantastic writer, and her MCU stuff is just amazing. Particularly that one you've rec'd up there. :D

i'm definitely going to have to check out the rest of her stuff because this one really struck a chord. it'll stay with me for a long while, i guess. i keep thinking back to it, and i don't do that with a whole lot of fic.
