so, since i wrote and posted my first teddy/james fic, i've been looking for more all round, and since michi asked me to link her to good stuff, i've been saving links with that in mind. so i've been scouring communities and fic fests and google in search of fic.

this is not a comprehensive list of all Teddy/James fics in the world. this is merely a list of fics which I have enjoyed. i have not read every single Teddy/James fic there is and there are some I haven't recced. This list is 100% subjective to my tastes.

Adorable and sweet and hilarious without being cracky. Also, bonus points for putting effort into the whole magic thing and coming up with something that's credible because it is credible and not because it's "just fiction". a very good read, warmly recommended.

I really liked this... James was a real git, but it was sweet and turned out nice. also, the Charlie thing isn't as creepy and intimidating as I thought it was. Don't let that be a hindrance for reading, because really (without spoiling too much) it's not that sort of deal.

Summary: Teddy has always lived with the feeling that he doesn't belong in the family he has been raised to call his own. James struggles to grow into a young man and get the grades he never found important before while trying to make Teddy see that sometimes what you think isn't right is the only thing that really matters, all the while hundreds of miles away and trying to get his point across through letters and stolen moments where they could be caught at any moment.

This was really, really good. it wasn't teddy/james centred at all (they were more of a side remark) and more of a harry/draco and albus/scorpius and harry generally figuring things out. it was down to earth and realistic (apart from 'everyone's gay') and well done. i enjoyed it thoroughly - it made me LOL so hard and smile like an idiot at other times. so yeah. warmly recommended.

This was very lovely and beautiful and sweet. teddy and james are 11 and 9 in this and thoroughly adorable...though this is only chapter one and it doesn't look like there was ever more than this, even though the author clearly intended to make it a series. the chapter works on its own, though, and it warmed me and made me smile. <3

The company of naked, muscled Gryffindors claiming a sodding Muggle prophecy device had foretold his seduction was just too much to take. All things considered, Scorpius Malfoy really was having a very, very bad week.

Total Word Count for both fic: over 75k.
I only bothered about taking the header for the first, but they're similar so that's okay.
I'm very pleasantly surprised by this fic (i'm wary of scorpius at all times), but it works, and i like a good three way fic when it's done realistically, complete with fuck up, good times and hilarity. i recommend it, but you know, if you're not into three some fic at all, you can still read it. it's very teddy/james centric until things get sorted out, and they won't cease to be teddy/james just because scorpius joins them. also i like scorpius in this. he's exhilarating at his best, but completely lovable.

Summary: Power was worth it. He could lie and cheat and steal but if he was at the top, if he hit the roof of the hierarchy, then everything was worth it in the end.
This was possibly my all time favourite fic from

nextgendarkfest. It's brilliantly written. I ached so much for James and I felt sorry for Teddy being weak and pathetic. The flashes with the addicts intersecting the story were brilliant, the pacing and Teddy's slow change worked so well. And then there were his motives that he didn't realise were destroying everything, including himself. It's a fantastic piece of work.

I absolutely LOVED this fic. This may be the best Teddy/James fic I've yet read. It's definitely in top three. It's realistic and funny, sexy and sweet and interesting at the same time. The characterisation is very well carried out, even for people who are only mentioned in passing. This story is very rich and feels complete; I suppose there is no other word for it. Warmly recommended.

Not Teddy's idea of a good time because things between him and James have been less than congenial since they broke up.
I LOVED THIS FIC because it's UNF and awesome and...awesome. Teddy and James both having their heads way too far up their arses to sort themselves out and Harry being a sneaky bastard and Al - he's precious, even though we didn't see much of him. Funny and lighthearted as well.

This was lovely <3 the attraction between Teddy and James was subtle, but tangible and when the sparks flew, it turned very hot. ;D
