I’ve heard this one a lot and I’m inclined to agree 😂 I did really love the books that one time I read them (at age 12/13) but I do appreciate the way the films approached the story.
The hobbit on the other hand…that did not have to be three movies and I’m so annoyed by large parts of how that book was adapted I think I’ve only seen these movies twice. Once in the cinema and once as a rewatch with a friend who loves them.
