last time i made a rec post was way back in october, for rectober. i haven't done much fic reading since, being busy with life and reading books/comics instead, when i could. but, i have managed to squeeze in some fic reading, and so this rec list is the cream of the crop of the smattering of fic i've managed in the time since then.

Malfoy, Lord of Toilets, is really there. Which begs a very important question: what the hell is he up to, and what evil scheme is he about to unleash? Because there must be an evil scheme . . . mustn't there?

Why you want to read this: if the premise alone doesn't make you want to read it, then i don't know what else would. it's funny and sweet and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I laughed the whole way through - these boys are idiots. Classic H/D.

Why you want to read this: I loved this. paris and vivian are great, and I loved harry and draco's interactions and slow build (or not so slow? XD) into friendship. Instant classic.

Summary: What was meant to be an unexpected one-off in the loo of a Camden bar turns into something rather different, much to Harry and Draco's surprise.
Why you want to read this: not reading this would be doing yourself a disservice. i instantly fell in love with this fic - it's so, so good. it's very down to the earth, very tangible, and anyone who likes Nick Hornby - High Fidelity will likely enjoy this (I did!). it's slow burn at its best. you get the feeling that these characters are really alive and breathing - harry's grief hit me pretty hard, tbh, and it's impossible to come at this fic casually, you kind of live it while you're reading it. anyway, do read it. it's beautiful and one of femme's best fics to date.

Why you want to read this: this one i betaed, so i'm a little biased, maybe. but it's really lovely and wonderful, and i enjoyed it very much. <3 it's funny and sweet and a nice feel-good read.

Why you want to read this: this is so sweet <3 a very lovely slow-burn domestic fic. a nice read for a rainy day (it was a rainy day when i read this, incidentally).
