ok recs. because i've been reading stuff :D and i was actually thinking about recs, as in - the type of recs i usually make. because i've been reading a lot of filth lately as well, and... well. the sort of stuff i read because FIC YAY and the sort of stuff i read because 'dammit i just want filthy porn and all of it right now for the next five days and nothing else' is very different, and i never rec anything from the latter category. <.<

so uhm basically i was just wondering if other people also make that distinction? i mean, i think the reason why i haven't ever recced anything from the second category is because i don't really need the world to see what kind of stuff i like when it's my animal brain taking over? to put it mildly. hmm.

so anyway, have a bunch of recs. :D maybe i'll even rec you some filth most of these are short because longfic is still kind of hard to come by when it comes to steve/bucky. which makes me a little sad, but on the other hand i guess i'm re-learning to enjoy shorter fic out of simple necessity.

Why you want to read this: this is brilliant and glorious AND I WANT EVERY SINGLE OF THOSE MOVIES TO EXIST SO I CAN WATCH THEM AND CRY AND LAUGH AND FANGIRL AND BASK IN THE GLORY. i ESPECIALLY want the stallone one to exist, oh god. ok so anyway, i love the setup of this and i love how subtle it is, too - it tells their story through fiction, and then you don't even get a clear answer yourself because this fanfic in itself is fiction trying to tell their story. i know it's super meta, but it's great. it's funny and very sweet.

Why you should read this: this is another of those 'inaccurate movies/tv made about steve and bucky' fics, but this one is really sweet. also kind of biting in places, but the main thing here is steve and bucky's relationship.

And Steve, well Steve is his rock through it all--always is, really.
Why you want to read this: this, for some reason, isn't even tagged ace!bucky, which puzzles me - because that's essentially what he is. this is glorious. slow burn-type fic, with bucky at the centre. i just adore it. he feels very real and very grounded, flawed and healing and struggling. i also love that (spoiler?) there wasn't any healing cock or whatever. he stays ace. <3

HELL YES. this is really, really good. so good that i stopped reading several times just to flail. get up and walk around the flat and be all !!! because i didn't want the fic to be over too fast. IT'S SO GOOD. i just. love it a lot.
