there's a gen comm called hogwarts_gen or something, but i don't think it sees a lot of traffic. i think it's a structural thing; LJ is very "boxy" in that comms tend to be very specific. and then there's the fact that one has to post to comms in order to have people read the fics because the stuff you put on your journal isn't going to be immediately visible to everyone else.
